Six persons arrested in a recent cow slaughter case in Sangrur have revealed that they were working for someone called Mohammad Saleem alias Kaka Khussewal. Saleem, a Malerkotla based resident, have over 20 FIRs against him since 2002 in various police stations, the police said. They also added that of the 20 cases registered against him, two were for cow slaughtering.
Most of the FIRs were regarding snatching at gunpoint, robbery, arms act FIR , snatching of car and one FIR was under the NDPS Act.
Once in 2008, he was booked for slaughter and in 2012, he was caught slaughtering cows inside a bone mill at Joga in Mansa district.
Kaka Saleem had been arrested later in this case, but was out on bail and hence was involved again in this heinous crime, confirmed the local police.
Meanwhile, Gau Raksha Dal members have said that they will stage statewide protests statewide over cow slaughtering later selling cow meat to earn money.
According to the police, the accused will be produced in court Saturday morning where police will be seeking their police remand to get more details.
