Pregnant woman killed,husband booked

SHO Devinder Singh said,“Hari Lal,the father of the deceased,claimed that Kumar had been pressuring Meena for cash. He wanted her to bring Rs 1 lakh from her father which Hari Lal had promised to pay till Diwali. However,late on Wednesday night,Hari Lal’s son Rajinder Singh,who lives in the city,received a call from Kumar that Meena was not feeling well. By the time Singh reached Meena’s house,he found her lying on the floor. Meena was rushed to a nearby private hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.”

As per police,Meena’s father said Kumar had been harassing his daughter since they got married. The situation turned worse after she gave birth to a daughter. Meena also complained that her husband did not give her food to eat despite her pregnancy.
