MC files case against vendors for stone pelting

A day after vegetable vendors pelted stones at the tehbazaari team of the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation which went to remove encroachments,at Sherpur chowk,the Focal Point police station on Wednesday registered a case of attempt to murder against the vendors.

A case has been registered based on a statement by Surinder Pal Singh,tehbazaari superintendent zone B.

Singh told the police that a Municipal Corporation team led by additional commissioner Davinder Singh were removing encroachments when the vegetable vendors pelted stones at them. MC inspector,Jaswant Singh,JCB driver and head constable Kuldeep Singh were seriously injured. Inspector Gurtej Singh said police will arrest the accused soon.
