Municipal Corporation has disconnected a total of 85 illegal connections in various parts of the city which were taken by the plot owners in the common vehras made for migrant families. MC authorities have appealed to all those having illegal connections to take legal connections within 10 days or action will be taken against them.
Out of these,44 are in Zone D while 20 in Zone B,another 18 are in Zone C and 5 in Zone A. The MC authorities claimed that chlorinated water was being supplied to the city residents.
Meanwhile,another meeting was conducted by the Commissioner,GS Ghuman in which he said that teams should pick garbage at the earliest from the collection points. However,he said that due to rain,garbage got wet and hence it took sometime for picking. He asked the residents to contact Dr Charanjit Uppal at 9780039480 or Chief Sanitary Inspector at 96460-19338.
