Mayor celebrates Sukhbir win with desi ghee laddoos

After 86 saplings,it was 5kilos of pure desi ghee laddoos,which was the Mayor’s latest attempt to please Badal family. The happiness of Mayor Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria knew no bounds on Wednesday when he ordered for special pure desi ghee laddoos which were distributed at Mayor Camp office to SAD councillors and workers on re-election of Sukhbir Singh Badal as SAD president.

It was not the first sycophant moment for Gohalwaria who was personally present on Tuesday in Amritsar during Sukhbir’s re-election as one of the delegates as earlier too on December 9,2012 that he planted 86 saplings (equal to the CM’s age) on Parkash Singh Badal’s birthday and on another day he was late for more than two hours to F&CC meeting of MC because he was gracing the stage with Badal at a state-level function at Dana Mandi.

However,as per Mayor it was just a ‘goodwill gesture’ to pray for ‘long happiness and success’ of Deputy CM and SAD. “I feel that in last 5 years under the leadership of SAD,Punjab has touched new heights and not only in India but also abroad. Now our target is to win Lok Sabha seats to spread SAD all over the nation,” he said.

“The Mayor should actually focus on pending works of Ludhiana than fanning around CM and Deputy CM because we all know that the ship of Punjab is only sinking under financial burden and MC has no money to spend on development works,” said Parminder Mehta,spokesperson,Congress.
