Martyrdom of Bhagat Singh,Rajguru,Sukhdev remembered

The martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh,Rajguru and Sukhdev was organised by various leaders and organizations in Ludhianat.

The martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh,Rajguru and Sukhdev was organised by various leaders and organizations in Ludhianat. Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Charanjit Singh Atwal paid tributes to the trio at Maqsudan village,Hira Singh Gabria,SAD minister paid tributes at Jagraon Bridge chowk where the statues of Bhagat Singh,Rajguru and Sukhdev are installed.

A havan was performed by family members of Sukhdev,Sukhdev Memorial Trust at Naughara in Old City where the 100-year-old home of Shaheed Sukhdev lies locked. No one from district administration took pain to visit Sukhdev’s home or even call his family.

Speaker Atwalsaid that “true tribute to the martyrs will be paid only if every citizen of the nation pariticipates in social and economic progress of the nation”.

He added that “their sacrifice played the most important role in strengthening and providing a momentum to the Independence struggle and shun English rulers”.

The Communist Party of India (CPI) and CPI (M) Ludhiana units paid homage to Bhagat Singh,Rajguru and Sukhdev by holding a rally highlighting the dreams of the martyrs to build a society based on equality and justice in the Independent India. The speakers demanded universal public distribution system to met the food security needs of the people,security to all citizens particularly women and children,end to criminalization of politics,health and education for all,jobs for all and inclusive growth by putting an end to unashamed neoliberal economic policies.

The Doraha Institute of Management & Technology (DIMT),also observed the death anniversary of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh at the campus. The students lighted the candles in his respect and prayed for burning a fire in their hearts too towards the service of nation.
