Man arrested,heroin seized

The anti-narcotics and anti-illicit liquor smuggling wing of Ludhiana police,on Tuesday,arrested Gurpreet Singh,a resident of Karnail Singh Nagar and recovered 60 gm heroin from him,worth Rs 30 lakh according to police.

Sub-Inspector Harbans Singh,incharge of the wing,said the police party near CRPF colony in Dugri area had asked a car coming from Model Town to stop for checking.

Instead of stopping it raced away,after which police followed it,and arrested the accused. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Dugri police station.
