The coming year would witness a complete revamp of the UT Administration with most of the top brass set to complete their terms. Apart from the IAS officers, including the Adviser and the secretaries, several PCS and HCS officers are also nearing the end of their tenures.

UT Adviser K K Sharma would be completing three years in office in February. In June this year,Sharma was promoted from Additional Secretary grade to Secretary grade. His predecessor Pradip Mehra had served in the post for four years, having received extension.

The tenure of UT Home Secretary Anil Kumar would be ending at the end of next year. The 1988 batch IAS officer of Haryana cadre had taken charge in the city in December 2011. In the past two years of his tenure, several departments have been taken away from him and distributed among other officers, the most recent being the charge of the Transport department.

Among the first bureaucrats to be repatriated at the beginning of the year would be Finance Secretary V K Singh. A panel had been sought from Punjab several weeks ago.
