In a matter of 10 days, a total of 148 tonnes of relief material has reached the flood-affected Jammu and Kashmir. General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Vajra Corps, Lt General N P S Hira, who also belongs to Ludhiana district, applauded the spirit of Ludhianavis and said that they were touched by this response.
A local team was formed under the guidance of Brig Jagdeep Dahiya, Commander, Dholewal Military Station. The relief material included water juices, food items, clothes, blankets and medicines.
Apart from this, relief material collected by ‘I am a NGO’, which was loaded in four trucks, was also sent to Dholewala Military Station on Monday afternoon.
The management of Gurdwara Dukhniwaran Sahib also flagged off two trucks loaded with flood relief material to Amritsar airport on Monday.
