Ludhiana: Trader missing for 50 days, kin protest

Sajan’s family has also announced a cash prize at their own level of Rs 21,000 for credible information on his wherabouts.

NEARLY 50 DAYS after a local trader went missing from Islam Ganj area of Ludhiana, his relatives staged a silent protest outside division number 2 police station Tuesday.

Sajan Arora, 22, a trader in construction materials, went missing on August 13 and police also filed an FIR under section 346 (wrongful confinement) of IPC on August 21 based on statements of his family members.

Veena Kumari, mother of the victim, said Sajan left home on August 13 evening to buy some eggs. His phone was also left at home and he hasn’t returned. She alleged that despite giving several clues to the police, they have failed to trace him. The family alleged that they had received a call from Delhi claiming that Sajan was seen at Bangla Sahib gurdwara in a semi-conscious state, along with four-five unidentified persons.
