Excitement for Mother’s Day on May 13 can be seen in the markets,with lots of offers for moms. This can be seen at eating joints,garment stores and even at doctors’ clinics as well. At Iqbal Nursing Home,a flat 40 per cent discount on pap smear coloscopy and mammography has been kept for the mothers and the coupons will be valid till May 31. Dr Minnie Ahuja of the nursing home said,“Mothers are least bothered about their health and devote all their time for their kids. So keeping this in mind,we came up with this offer. Children must gift this coupon to their moms so that they can be in the best of health. Already,people are coming forward to get these discount coupons.”

At Sampuran Kayakalap,an ayurvedic clinic and spa,Dr Preeti Ahuja said,“We are giving free consultation on constitution analysis of the body to mothers. Not only this,we are even giving 25 per cent off on various types of spa treatment.”

She added,“For senior moms (60-plus),if they come along with their children,they will get 50 per cent off on spa treatment. This gives a feeling to moms that their children really care for them.”

Exciting offers are on the cards at Hot Breads and Yellow Chillies as well. Sanjeev Kapoor’s Yellow Chillies’ offer is – get a free cake if you are dining with your mom on the evening of May 13. Special cakes have been made at Hot Breads to celebrate this day. A more than 20-ft long banner can be seen in various parts of the city,saluting mothers. Special cakes will also be seen at Cake Square,Kipps and many other bakeries in Ludhiana.

At Indus World School located,Rajgarh Estates,mothers were called for a special interactive session on good parenting and the need for yoga in their lives. The school also organised a competition for the moms to show their hidden talent. They made attractive items out of waste and even made health snacks without cooking. The winners were given bumper prizes.
