Hit and run case kills local Judge’ son

Magistrate Sukhbir Kaur was returning home with his wife and son from Amritsar when a LP-laden truck laden hit their car near Phillaur/

Ludhiana judge, 4-year-old son killed in accident. A 32-year-old local court judge and her four-year-old son were killed on Monday when their car was hit by a truck near near Phillaur on GT Road, some 20 km from here, police said.

Judicial Magistrate Sukhbir Kaur, husband Harpreet Singh and their son Alambir Singh were returning from their hometown
Amritsar when a truck laden with LPG cylinders allegedly hit their car near Phillaur, they said.

Harpreet Singh, who was driving the car, was injured in the mishap. He was immediately rushed to a Ludhiana hospital, police said.
A case has been registered at the Phillaur police station and the driver of the truck, identified as Satish of Bihar, has been arrested, they said.
