Goyal elected IMA Ludhiana President

Elections to the Indian Medical Association’s (IMA) Ludhiana branch were held at IMA House today. The total votes polled was 307.

Elections to the Indian Medical Association’s (IMA) Ludhiana branch were held at IMA House today. The total votes polled was 307. Dr Karamvir Goyal was elected President for 2013 getting 250 votes. He defeated his rival Dr Satish Nauhria who got only 55 votes.

The election was conducted by Dr G S Grewal,Chief Election Commissioner. Dr. J S Chugh and Dr Bharti Uppal were members of Election Commission of the association. Dr D P Singh Arora was already elected president for 2012 last year.

The Other members who have been already elected unanimously are Dr Ajit Singh Chawla as senior vice-president,Dr Gaurav Sachdeva as vice-president,Dr Narjit Kaur as honorary secretary,Dr P S Jassal as honorary finance secretary and Dr Narinderjit Singh Toor as joint secretary.
