Two days after secretary of Guru Nanak Girls College (GNGC) Prithpal Singh Grewal levelled allegations and submitted a police complaint against college principal Dr Charanjit Mahal and president Gurbir Singh,mud-slinging continued between the two groups on Saturday.
Addressing a press conference, the principal and president of the college alleged that the secretary had been making false complaints against them for the past two months and he is the one who harasses the female staff and students of the college and also comments on their dressing sense.
He also abuses and threatens the college staff for not meeting his unjustified demands, added the principal and president of the college.
On April 1,the college had submitted a memorandum to Police Commissioner Ishwar Singh, signed by more than 200 staff members of college against the secretary, stating that Prithpal has started making threatening telephone calls to female staff and their family members and asking them to submit false affidavits in favour of his complaint and if they will not do so they will be behind bars and will not even get bail.
On Saturday again,a memorandum was submitted to the Police Commissioner by the college authorities against Prithpal stating harassment of female staff and threats being issued by him.
The president of the college added that the process to remove Prithpal from the post of secretary was on and he would be soon removed.
Prithpal, secretary of Guru Nanak Education Trust, which manages the college, had made serious allegations of fund embezzlement, discrepancies in admissions, inhuman working conditions of teachers in college and other trust officials through his police complaint on Wednesday.
