Four held in Sahnewal,guns recovered

Acting on a tip off,the Sahnewal Police has arrested four persons and recovered two guns,a .315 pistol and one .303 bore,a knife and another sharp-edged weapon from them.

Acting on a tip off,the Sahnewal Police has arrested four persons and recovered two guns,a .315 pistol and one .303 bore,a knife and another sharp-edged weapon from them.

Those arrested have been identified as Jaswinder Singh alias Billa a resident of Sahnewal,Dinesh Kumar a migrant from Uttar Pradesh currently living in Gobindgarh,Dalbir Singh alias Deepu a resident of Goraya district Jalandhar and Sanjay Kumar who is a resident of Ludhiana.

Fifth accomplice of the gang named Rajveer Singh who is a resident of Kanganwal village managed to give police a slip. SHO Sahnewal Arvind Puri informed that a police party headed by ASI Paramjeet Singh had set up a naka in Sahnewal when they received an information that these people who were armed were planning to loot a petrol pump.

Acting swiftly the police swooped down on the gang and nabbed the accused.
