The international conference on management conducted by Indo Global Colleges,Abhipur was truly global. It was uploaded to the website http://www.igef.net live for the viewing pleasure of the global audience and some of the international participants who could not physically attend the conference. Some of the noteworthy international participants included Heewon Kim,Research Scholar,Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation,Seoul,South Korea who spoke on ‘Women entrepreneurs in South Asia’; Jana Berthold,Assistant Professor from University of Dresden,Germany who threw light on ‘Cost-cutting during recession’; Rajiv Singh,Director,Digital Business,Khaleej Times,UAE on ‘360 Degree Marketing Communications’; Ashwani Rana,Umpire,Asian Cricket Council,Bangkok,Thailand on ‘Sports as management tool’; Guillenm Monsonis,Assistant Professor,University of Paris,France on ‘Recession as a global economic crisis – relevance of management’ and Vishal Sood,Director Phi Software Pvt Ltd who spoke on ‘Marketing of education services’. The event commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by chief guest Dr Dinesh Gupta,Chairman,University Business School (UBS),Panjab University. Various academicians,research scholars,professionals and even management students presented papers on various topics related to HR,finance and marketing management. Sukhdev Kumar Singla,Chairman,Indo Global Colleges,Abhipur congratulated faculty of MBA department for conducting their first international conference on management and motivated them to be persistent with such academic activities.
