With already five confirmed cases of dengue reported from different parts of the city in full summer, on Tuesday larva of mosquito anopheles aedes was found from Dugri. It was found from three houses in MIG flats in dugri phase 1 and 1 house in
Shivpuri from the coolers.
Dr Anil Verma, district epidemiologist stated that information regarding the same had been passed to MC officials so as to take appropriate action.
He stated that residents had been advised repeatedly to change the cooling pads of coolers as larva normally breeds in these pads.
However residents were still now following it and today larva was found from coolers only. Till now in this summer season, a total of 10 dengue cases have been reported out of which five were from Ludhiana and the rest from other districts.
