40-year-old man commits suicide

On Thursday morning, neighbours saw the body hanging from a window.

A 40-YEAR-OLD unemployed man committed suicide at his residence late on Wednesday evening.

Amrish Kumar entered into a heated argument with his wife. Later, he committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling fan at his home at Giaspura.

A native of Uttar Pradesh, he worked as a labourer.

Amrish had been jobless for almost a month due to which there were regular arguments between the couple. On Wednesday evening, the victim consumed liquor and later had an argument with his wife.

The room of the deceased was bolted from inside after the fight. On Thursday morning, neighbours saw the body hanging from a window.

On being informed, the Focal Point police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. The body was sent for a post-mortem at the Civil Hospital. The police registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPC.
