Around 26 batteries went missing from a clinic at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) on Tuesday.
The pharmacist handling the charge of store has written to clinic head Dr JS Chaliwal about the incident. However,the GADVASU officials have not made any complaint to the police in this regard yet.
Officials at the clinic confirmed the incident. They said the batteries were used in the event of power cuts. During renovation,the batteries were removed and were kept in the storeroom.
Pharmacist Balwinder Singh was looking after the storeroom. He was shocked to see the batteries vanished. He immediately informed his seniors.
