2 bodies found on railway tracks

The railway police on Wednesday evening found dead bodies of two teenagers who allegedly committed suicide. Both aged 16 years were allegedly having an affair and jumped in front of a train after their families opposed the relationship. The bodies were found around 4.40 pm on Ludhiana-Ladhowal railway tracks.

Talking to Newsline,Shambhu Dutt,SHO,railway police station said,“As per initial investigations both were students and were having an affair to which their families opposed. We have informed both the families and their statements will be recorded.

“Bodies will be sent for postmortem on Thursday morning and only then an FIR will be registered.”
