A five-year-old boy died after he was severely injured in a suspected wolf attack in Bahraich’s Kaiserganj tehsil, triggering a fresh wave of fear in the region.

The forest department had earlier claimed to have eliminated a pack of four wolves responsible for killing at least eight people and injuring nearly 30 others over the past few months. One victim’s body still remains untraced.
