UP raises age limit for competitive exam candidates

The state government has raised the maximum age limit for appearing in competitive examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commission from 35 years to 40 years.

Lucknow: The state government has raised the maximum age limit for appearing in competitive examinations conducted by the State Public Service Commission from 35 years to 40 years. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Azam Khan made the announcement in the Assembly on Thursday while informing the House about the recommendation of the state Cabinet. Leader of the House Ahmad Hasan told the Legislative Council that keeping in view the interest of candidates coming from rural backgrounds,the state Cabinet has recommended increase in the maximum age limit for recruitment in public service and other posts from 35 years to 40 years. The cabinet passed the proposal by circulation last night,sources said.
