Three held for abduction and murder of their teen friend
Police said the three – one a student of Class X and the other two Class XII students -- had abducted the 16-year-old with a motive to collect Rs 50 lakh ransom since the victim’s father is a prominent businessman in Chitrakoot.
“Based on the information given by the three accused during questioning, we recovered the victim's body,” said the officer.
Chitrakoot police have arrested two young men and detained a 17-year-old boy for the murder of their 16-year-old friend in Chitrakoot. One of the accused is, however, absconding.

The 16-year-old was allegedly with his friends on Saturday when they allegedly abducted him. His family thought that he was out with his friends and did not pay attention to his absence. On Monday, his father, who was then in Kanpur, got a phone call in which a demand of Rs 50 lakh ransom was made. He immediately informed his wife, who approached the police.
