Top leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will assemble in Agra district on August 5 and 6 for a Chintan Baithak,being organised to formulate a strategy for the next Lok Sabha elections in UP.
Party leaders said that such a brain-storming session exclusively on UP is being organised after seven years.
The partys national president Nitin Gadkari,senior leaders Murli Manohar Joshi and Rajnath Singh will attend the meeting. Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha,Sushma Swaraj and Arun Jaitley,respectively,will also address party workers.
The party national general secretary and in-charge of UP Narendra Singh Tomer will attend the meeting. Senior leaders of the partys state unit with nearly 150 senior workers from different districts of the state have also been invited.
Party state president Laxmikant Bajpai said the BJP wants to win at least 50 Lok Sabha seats in UP. The party will have to strengthen the organisation and raise public-centric issues. These issues will be discussed in the meeting, Bajpai said.
