The Shashi murder case took a new turn with one of the two eyewitnesses in the case,Home Guard constable Jagannath Tiwari, refusing to recognise main accused Vijaysen Yadav as the person he had seen with Shashi before she went missing. Tiwari made this statement last week in the court of Special Judge Matamber Singh. A third-year law student Shashi went missing in 2007. Her father Yogendra Prasad held the then minister Anandsen Yadav responsible for Shashi’s disappearance and feared that she could have been murdered. Anandsen had to resign after he was named in the case. Vijaysen, driver of Anandsen,is accused of killing Shashi on the orders of the minister, and throwing her body in the Gomti.
