The Prime Minister Office (PMO) has sanctioned a financial aid of Rs 31.30 lakh to a Jaunpur farmer for the medical treatment of his three children suffering from speech and hearing impairment.
Pari Mishra (7),Satyam Mishra (5) and Adarsh Kumar Mishra (4) were born with speech and hearing disability,said their father Rajeev Kumar Mishra,a resident of Ibrahimpur village. The children were treated by in several government and private hospitals but their condition could not be improved. Last June,Mishra visited Delhis Apollo Hospital where the doctors told him that the condition of the children could be improved but the surgery will cost Rs 48 lakh. Mishra,who is financially weak,lost hope. He later contacted local MP Dhananjay Singh,who assured him help,and approached the PMO.
After providing the PMO with all the documents,including his income certificate and estimate of the treatment.
According to Dhananjay Singh,on March 9 he personally met Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and requested him to financially help Rajeev to treat his children. He also explained him that as per doctors advice,early treatment was important for the children to develop their speech and language abilities.
