PCS officer’s daughter ‘gang-raped’, 3 arrested

A woman in her 20s, the daughter of a serving Provincial Civil Service (PCS) officer, was allegedly gang-raped inside a moving car in Lucknow, police said.

Three persons were arrested in connection with the case after the woman filed a police complaint on Sunday, days after the alleged incident took place on December 5, the police added.

Those arrested have been identified as Satyam Mishra, the key accused, and his associates Mohammad Aslam and Mohammad Sohail, all in their twenties. While Mishra runs a tea stall, Aslam and Sohail work in shops, it is learnt.

DCP (West) Rahul Raj said the case was solved within 12 hours of filing of the complaint. According to the complaint, the victim came in contact with Mishra at a hospital where she was undergoing treatment for several months.
