Two notorious criminals shot dead in separate incidents in UP
A gang leader carrying a reward of Rs 1.5 lakh was shot dead by the Bulandshahr police while a history-sheeter was killed by unidentified assailants in Hathras.

(Representational photo/PTI) Two notorious criminals, one a history-sheeter and the other carrying a reward of Rs 1.5 lakh, were shot dead in separate incidents in Uttar Pradesh’s Hathras and Bulandshahr districts on Sunday, said the police.
Rajesh Jatav, 30, a notorious gang leader, was killed in an exchange of fire with the Bulandshahr police under the Aahar police station jurisdiction Sunday morning. Jung Bahadur, the in-charge of the Aahar police station, and Aarif, a constable, also sustained bullet injuries in the exchange of fire with Jatav, who was intercepted by the police when he was going alone on a bike.
Challenged by the police team, he allegedly opened fire, and the police also retaliated, shooting at him three times, while one bullet each hit the police inspector and the constable. Jatav was rushed to a hospital but he succumbed to his injuries while on the way, the police said.
