Three days after claiming that those living in relief camps in Muzaffarnagar are not riot victims,Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav reiterated Thursday that Congress and BJP are inciting the inmates of relief camps while they are willing to return home.

Mulayam also said the Centre works for a handful of rich people and that the SP disapproved of their policies which have led to corruption, price rise in the country.

Without naming the Congress,Mulayam also posed a question,“Our allies now have to take a decision that they will fight with Modi or abuse Mulayam.”

Mulayam said this while addressing a public gathering on the inaugural day of a 15-day cultural and sports event,Saifai Mahotsav — at his native village Saifai in Etawah. Earlier, his comment on unannounced visit of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi at the camps in Lucknow on Monday had stirred a controversy.

“Whether my party loses in election or wins, but I stand on my words that riots victims in Muzaffarnagar are being incited by Congress and BJP against the state government. The riots were unfortunate, but people know who orchestrated the riots,” Mulayam said in the presence of Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, minister Shivpal Yadav and Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament Ramgopal Yadav.

“SP government extended all possible support to the riot victims, but conspiracy is being hatched to malign our image. I am such a person who has never compromised on ideaology for power,” he said.
