BSP chief and CM Mayawati on Saturday held a meeting of her party coordinators in Lucknow during which they were explained better management of election meetings she would address. As per the decision,Mayawati would not be welcomed with huge garlands at her election meetings.
The partys zone coordinators concerned would conduct the proceedings of the election meeting during Mayawatis presence. The partys district unit presidents has been asked to preside over the CMs election meetings.
Reminding the party members that all the political parties would attempt to attack the ruling party,the CM asked them to avoid any controversy which can affect the partys poll prospects. Sources in the BSP said the chief minister Mayawati is concerned about image makeover during her election campaigns.
According to a source,Mayawati has also directed her party coordinators not to allow controversial MLAs,who continue in the party despite denial of ticket to them,to share the dais with her during election meeting.
She has already removed several controversial ministers and denied tickets to a large number of sitting MLAs. Now she wants to keep controversial persons away from her dais during election campaign, a source in the BSP said.
The CM also reportedly instructed BSP coordinators not to allow any any musical or dance programme as part of election campaign.
