A review petition has been filed by an individual in connection with the order passed by the Allahabad High Court on land acquisition in Noida and Greater Noida villages on October 21.
The petition has been filed before the same three-judge bench comprising Justices Ashok Bhushan,S U Khan and V K Shukla that passed the order more than a month ago.
Ratan,a resident of Badauli Bangar village,is the petitioner who approached the court through his counsel Pankaj Dubey.
Dubey said the review petition was filed because the petitioners land, which has been taken in possession by the government, falls in abadi (settlement) area about which the court has not mentioned anything in its order passed on October 21. Therefore, the court has been requested to look into the petitioners prayer and modify its order so that he can claim his right for compensation from the government. The three-judge bench had heard 491 petitioners from Noida and Greater Noida villages on the issue of land acquisition by the government using urgency clause before passing the order.
