62 ITIs set for upgrade with Tata Tech’s help, says UP govt

This initiative aligns with Industry 4.0 requirements, ensuring that students receive advanced technical training to meet global industrial standards. The goal is to equip ITI students with industry-specific skills by incorporating cutting-edge machinery, modern curricula and specialised training programmes, said a statement.
At present, the state operates 286 government ITIs. With rapid technological advancements and the growing influence of Industry 4.0, the need for modernisation was felt. In the first phase, 149 ITIs were upgraded, and now, in the second phase, 62 additional ITIs will be equipped with state-of-the-art technical infrastructure.
