IMA state president, 3 other doctors booked as woman dies after delivery
The family of the woman, Charu Chaddha, alleged she died due to “gross negligence” by doctors who failed to provide proper medical care after the delivery.
The FIR mentions that the woman had already died before being taken to the second hospital, he pointed out. An FIR has been registered against the Indian Medical Association (IMA)’s Uttar Pradesh chapter president and three other doctors over the death of a woman after childbirth at a nursing home in Shahjahanpur district.

The case was registered under Section 106 (causing death by negligence) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita on the complaint of Mukesh Ahuja, the deceased’s father, against Dr PK Agarwal (66), the IMA’s state president, Dr Deepa Saxena, Dr Pathak and one more doctor.
