Yet another youth from Azamgarh,Sarvar, has been named in the May 13 Jaipur blast case.
On Friday evening, the Rajasthan Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) procured an arrest warrant against Sarver from a Jaipur court.
The Rajasthan team has sought help from their Uttar Pradesh counterparts to trace him. The team will arrive next week to conduct search at his possible hideouts.
The Additional Director General of Rajasthan ATS,Kapil Garg, said: The name of Sarvar emerged recently, during the interrogation of Indian Mujahideen member Saif, who was arrested following the Batla House encounter. Saif is also an accused in the Jaipur Blast case. Currently,he is lodged in Jaipur jail.
Sarvars name had not been revealed in the investigation after the Batla House operation.
Saif, too, was reluctant to corroborate his name earlier. But later,he admitted to Sarvars involvement in planting the timers that caused nine serial blasts in Jaipur on May 13.
The ATS team verified Sarvars role and subsequently sought a warrant for his arrest, the ADG said. We are sending a letter to Uttar Pradesh ATS,seeking their assistance in tracing the accused, Garg said.
Satyendra Singh,Additional Superintendent of Police (Investigation),Rajasthan ATS,said: We had conducted raids at Sarvars possible hideouts in Noida,Delhi and Haryana. But he could not be traced. The arrest warrant will help begin legal action against him and are trying to collect the exact address of his house in Azamgarh.
The application filed by Satyendra Singh in a Jaipur court said the Jaipur police had included Sarvars name as an accused in the case registered at the citys Manak Chowk police station.
Rajiv Krishna,Deputy Inspector General,UP ATS,said: We are yet to receive official information about the arrest warrant procured by our Rajasthan counterparts. If asked for assistance,we will do the needful.
