A talent hunt is being organised by Dabur Glucose to “discover the hidden pace bowling sensations in small town India.”

The North India edition of ‘Ace of Pace’ contest was formally flagged off on Thursday from Lucknow. The dates for various stages of talent hunt programme will be announced soon.

As per the organisers,under this talent hunt initiative,camps would be organised across six cities— Lucknow,Kanpur,Varanasi,Meerut,Agra and Gorakhpur and the programme will cover over 100 schools in Uttar Pradesh to identify the hiden pace bowling talent in the state. In addition,talent camps will also be organised at neutral venues like local stadium and grounds to offer players a chance to participate and display their bowling talents.

Addressing mediapersons,Byas Anand,senior manager,corporate communication Dabur India Limited informed that the participating bowlers will undergo a local-level screening which would be followed by a city finale. The finalist from each city would then come together for the state finale to be held at Lucknow.

Talent hunt camps are also being organised in some other states as well. From each state two players will be selected and then the winner will get a chance to get bowling tips from India’s seasoned pacer Zaheer Khan. Besides the winner will be enrolled in a reputed bowling training academy for further grooming.
