70-year-old UP man arrested for raping, impregnating minor granddaughter
The girl said her grandfather raped her several times over three months when the others were away from their home in Hathras.

A 70-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his granddaughter at his home in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, over the past three months. The police said the girl is now two months pregnant.
The matter came to light after the girl complained of stomach pain and was found to be pregnant.
“We have arrested the victim’s grandfather in the case. The victim’s detailed medical examination is being conducted,” a police officer said.
The girl’s mother died six years ago, and her father is a labourer. She had been staying at her maternal uncle’s house and returned home around four months ago.
The police said the girl complained of severe stomach pain to neighbours on Saturday. They informed her father, who was away at work. He took his daughter to a nearby private clinic, where a doctor conducted a test and found that she was pregnant. The girl subsequently told her father about the alleged sexual assault.
Also on Saturday, the girl went to the police station with her father and filed a complaint, stating that her grandfather first raped her a few days after she returned from her maternal uncle’s house. Other family members were away at the time. Despite her protests, he allegedly continued to sexually assault her on subsequent occasions.
