Circle Officer, Babupurwa area, Gyanendra Singh said they are verifying the allegations as the complaint has been filed four days after the incident occurred. The victim’s father is a businessman and stays in a rented house.
Station Officer, Babupurwa police station, Ajay Rai said on Tuesday, the girl was found lying unconscious outside her house with serious injuries. She was alone in the house when the incident took place and was rushed to the hospital by locals, he added.
The SO said he had met the victim at the hospital and she had then told him that she had jumped from the terrace after being scolded by her brother. She also had told that her family members were against marrying a youth of her choice, Rai claimed.
The SO said, on Sunday her brother came to the police station and filed a complaint alleging that on April 7 when his sister was alone in the house three youths arrived there and tried to rape her. As she offered resistance, the accused threw her down from the terrace of the building, he said.
