A 16-year-old girl was allegedly abducted from outside her house in Ashiana police station area early on Saturday by two motorcycle-borne men of her neighbourhood. The girl was,however,rescued after she jumped off the second floor of a building where she was taken by the abductors who were trying to sexually assault her.
The girl,a Class X pass-out,fractured her right leg in the fall and has been admitted in the Shyama Prasad Mukherjee(Civil) hospital for treatment. She has told her family members and police that she was forcibly taken by two youths from outside her house in Devikheda locality to a building in Teli Bagh area but she escaped the abductors by jumping off the building.
Circle Officer Sarojini Nagar SK Mishra said the girl told the police that she was abducted by two youths named Monu and Ravish who reside in her neighbourhood.
Station Officer,Ashiana,Umeshwar Pratap Yadav said an FIR will be lodged as per the written complaint from the victims family. The family is preparing a complaint and will soon submit it to the police,he said. According to the family members,the girl had gone out of her house around 3 am to attend to natures call as there is no toilet in the house. She was then captured by two youths outside the house on a bike,the family members said.
Police said the girl was taken to an empty commercial building in Teli Bagh area. In order to escape the abductors,the girl jumped off the building and fractured her leg. The abductors then fled leaving the girl there. Later,she was spotted lying near the building by some men from the same locality. They carried the girl to her house,said her brother.
Later,the girl was taken to Civil Hospital by her relatives on Saturday morning. The girl has secured first division in the class 10 exam,the results of which were announced on Friday. She and her brother were alone at home as their mother and two elder brothers had gone to Farrukhabad to attend a function. As her brother was sleeping in another room,he did not notice she had gone missing from the house, said her cousin in the hospital.
