The CBI on Friday lodged an FIR against manager of a FCI godown and five other employees for their alleged involvement in the disappearance of 6,700 bags of wheat valued at Rs 42 lakh in Varanasi district. The CBI had conducted a joint inspection with FCI Vigilance team at various godowns in Varanasi on July 5 and 6. The teams had questioned the manager of the godown,Santosh Kumar,and his subordinates. A case under various sections of the IPC and Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered.
