In a first, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will be presiding over a two-day senior police officers’ conference at the DGP headquarters in Lucknow on December 27 and 28. He will be a part of all the presentations, divided into 11 sessions to be delivered by 11 top-ranked IPS officers in association with 45 other officers.

DGP Rajeev Krishna said, “Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will not only remain present in all the sessions, but will also interact with officers and be part of a question-answer activity after every presentation. The officers have prepared the presentations on the topics decided according to their expertise.”

“The CM will remain present at the two-day event which will conclude with his closing address,” Krishna added.

The DGP said that this is the first time when a CM will be participating in all the sessions of a police officers’ conference.

Krishna said the conference aims to strengthen citizen-centric policing, develop a technology-enabled and modern policing system, and ensure effective and prompt action against criminals.

“This conference is not merely a formal meeting, but a well-thought-out, goal-oriented initiative with a future-focused approach. Its objective is to make the police system of Uttar Pradesh more effective, modern, professional, accountable, and citizen-centric,” Krishna said.
