Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit campaigned for the Congress in different parts of the state on Tuesday.
I held around five to six meetings today. I asked the people whether they would like to vote for the party who works for just one Dalit and in the name of good work, believes in only constructing memorials. I could hardly find any affirmative response, Dikshit told The Indian Express.
She added,The BSP talks of social engineering. But all they have done is to induct Brahmins in the party. Where are the schemes for the poor and the downtrodden? Dikshit visited several constituencies, including Gorakhpur and Pratapgarh.
Speaking about Congress position in UP,Dikshit said: I cannot comment on the number of seats the party will win. But one thing is for sure, the people have recognised the work done by Congress in the last five years. I was surprised to know that people in the far-off districts, knew about Congress stand on nuclear deal and appreciated it.
