Cops release sketches of Agra murder suspects

In a crucial lead,police investigating the murder of the 27-year-old researcher,whose body was found in the laboratory of Dayal Bagh Educational Institute on March 15,on Sunday released the sketches of three suspects.

In a crucial lead,police investigating the murder of the 27-year-old researcher,whose body was found in the laboratory of Dayal Bagh Educational Institute on March 15,on Sunday released the sketches of three suspects.

The sketches were prepared on the basis of information given by two students of the institute,whose names were not disclosed by the police for security reasons. Earlier,police had requested the students of the institute to provide them information for solving the murder. Students were also assured that their names will not be disclosed.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Agra) Subhash Chandra Dubey said the two students provided information of the three suspect persons. Dubey refused to disclose more information,but told that the three at present were their key suspects in the case.

Sources said,the students told police that the three men were seen moving around the laboratory in a suspicious manner on the fateful day. They also told police that they had never seen them before in the campus.

Police said it could not be ascertained till now whether the three persons or any of them belong to any faculty of the institute or they were former students.

Dubey added that of the three,two appeared to be youngsters while the third is around 33 years old. One of them wears spectacles while another has grey hair.

Police had found Neha Sharma’s body with 12 deep cuts on several parts and said the psyche of the murderer was that of a “cold-blooded psycho killer”. Police have picked fingerprints from the laboratory. A day later,police found the victim’s laptop from a garbage bin near the lab. The laptop has been sent for examination. In the last 10 days police have questioned five dozen people,including her classmates,security guards and the faculty members of the college.
