The Lucknow Bench of the Allahabad High Court today gave CBI time until August 23 to complete the investigation into the murders of former chief medical officers Dr VK Arya and Dr BP Singh, who were shot dead in identical fashion within six months of each other in the state capital.
The Bench, consisting Justices Imtiyaz Murtaza and Vinay Kumar Mathur, passed the order after going through the case diaries. CBI sources said they would soon be filing supplementary chargesheets in both cases, naming Anand Prakash Tiwari,Vinod Sharma and RK Verma as the accused.
All three were arrested by the UP polices Special Task Force on June 17 last year and are lodged in jail. The Lucknow police had filed chargesheet against them before the CBI took over investigation on the orders of the Allahabad High Court.

However, the CBI has found no evidence of involvement of Vijay Dubey, who was arrested by the Lucknow police for involvement in the murder of Arya.
