Chief secy, team of officials in Greece for exhibition highlighting UP Defence Industrial Corridor
The Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor has set up a segment as part of the India Pavilion at the three-day exhibition, officials said

AIMING AT attracting investment in the defence sector as part of the Uttar Pradesh Defence Industrial Corridor, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh reached Athens, Greece, on Tuesday along with a team of senior officials and defence experts to take part in an ongoing defence exhibition.
On Tuesday, the Chief Secretary Singh inaugurated the Indian Pavilion at the event along with the Ambassador to Greece, Rudendra Tandon, officials said. He and other senior officials also met some potential investors and discussed the opportunities and the incentives being provided by the state in the sector. Officials said that six other officers are part of the UP delegation, including Secretary to Chief Minister Amit Kumar Singh, Additional Chief Executive Officer, Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Authority, Srihari Pratap Shahi, and others.
“During the exhibition, the Chief Secretary chaired several round-table conferences with representatives from the government of Greece and the government of Armenia. Both countries have expressed keen interest in investing in India in collaboration with Indian companies, highlighting potential opportunities for partnerships and growth,” said a senior officer part of the delegation.
He informed that the exhibition, which will conclude on May 8, has participation from 35 countries, with several events and visits to various stalls showcasing cutting-edge defence technology. “This initiative is expected to pave the way for new investments, technological advancements and strategic partnerships in the defence sector, further solidifying Uttar Pradesh’s position as a key player in India’s defense industrial landscape,” said an official.
