Continuing with its campaign of social engineering,the state unit of the BSP plans to mobilise members of the Kchhatriya community under its fold. From January 27,we will launch a series of meetings and rallies across the state with the community members, said Jitendra Singh Bablu,a BSP leader from Faizabad. The first rally in this connection will be held in Faizabad on January 27,in which state Tourism Minister Vinod Singh will be the chief guest.
Meanwhile,BSP leader Ram Gopal Shakya joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday. Shakya was a BSP candidate for the 2004 Lok Sabha elections from the Etah constituency.
State BJP president Ramapati Ram Tripathi welcomed Shakya,who joined the party along with several of his supporters.
