AIMPLB leader hails ‘secular’ Mulayam

Lucknow:Vice-president of All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) Dr Kalbe Sadiq hailed Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav as a secular leader who has sympathy for minorities. Sadiq was speaking at the concluding session of a two-day conference organised jointly by Shia cleric Kalbe Jawwad’s Majlis Ulema-e-Hind and Sufi Sunni’s organisation All India Ulema Mashaikh Board (AIUMB) at Shahnajaf Imambara on Thursday. The conference was organised to forge a joint front against the Talibani ideology and raise issues related to the Muslim community. “I assure that Mulayam Singh Yadav is 100 per cent secular. He has great sympathy for the minorities and has several plans which he had discussed with me. But we should understand his problems and give him time. All our demands will be met,” said Sadiq, whose son Kalbe Hussain is a member of the ruling party.
