The national president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM),Anurag Thakur, has accused the BSP government in of being anti-youth.
Addressing youth workers from over 30 districts at the Chhatra Yuva Sammelan organised by the BJP youth wing in the state capital on Thursday, the young BJP parliamentarian from Hamirpur (Himachal Pradesh) said the Mayawati government has neither brought in any educational reforms nor has provided any employment opportunities to the youth. The Mayawati governments concentration is more on spending money on the statues rather than providing opportunities to youngsters. Urging the youths to become an active part of politics to voice their issues,he said student union elections have been banned in the state so that the students cannot raise their voice against injustice meted out to them.
The BJYM passed two resolutions on the occasion. One will be campaigning against the increasing commercialisation of education, demanding student union elections and an increase in the undergraduate and post graduate seats.
The party will also campaign for regularising the Shiksha Mitras,Kisan Mitra and Panchayat Mitra and demand that students should be given interest-free loans for vocational courses.
