One-sided action: BJP
Lucknow: The BJP has described the arrest of party MLA Suresh Rana as a one-sided action of the Samajwadi Party government to appease Muslim voters.
Party state president Laxmikant Bajpai said the government has not arrested Muslims leaders, including Rashid Siddiqui,Mohammad Jameel,Salman Saeed,Noor Salim, and Lok Sabha members Kadir Rana.
“SP government wants polarisation of Muslim votes by disturbing the communal harmony,” Bajpai said while adding said the state government instigated the riots under the monitoring of cabinet minister Azam Khan.
Bajpai asked the Centre to intervene in the matter and constitute a special inquiry commission under the supervision of Supreme Court to probe the matter.
