Ashutosh, son of a pharmacist in Barabanki, credits his success to the time-table made by the school. The school had made a 24 hour time-table and I followed it religiously, he said. I used to wake up between 3-4 am,then study till school time, attend school, return and take an hours rest, then again study till at least 10 pm with an hours break in between, he said. Everyday,he said,he studied for 6-7 hours daily. And especially mathematics, he said. In mathematics his favourite subject Ashutosh scored a complete 100. With Indias first woman IPS officer Kiran Bedi as his idol,he said he wants to be an IAS officer and end corruption in his district.
Aradhana too, wants to be an IAS officer and serve the nation. According to her, working hard regularly, was the key to her success. With 99 each in Hindi and science,98 in English,96 each in mathematics and drawing and 94 in social science, she secured the second spot in the state with 97 per cent.
She said that her grandfather is her idol. Formerly a teacher, her grandfather, she said, helped her a lot with her studies. Rather than noting the number of hours put into studying each day,she said she instead kept a watch on the number of hours missed each day.
