Ayodhya girl dies after ‘falling’ from school terrace, father alleges gang rape
Speaking to The Indian Express Saturday, Ayodhya Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Madhuvan Kumar Singh said, “The post-mortem has been completed, and the last rites of the girl are being done by the family.
A case has been lodged at the police station concerned under IPC Sections 376-D (gangrape), 302 (murder), 201 (causing disappearance of evidence of offence, or giving false information to screen offender), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy), and under sections of the POCSO Act.
A Class 10 girl was allegedly gang-raped and fatally injured inside the premises of a prominent private school in Ayodhya district Friday. The police have lodged a case against the school principal and two staff members, including the games teacher.
A complaint lodged by the victim’s father reads, “My daughter aged 15 years studied at a private school in Ayodhya district… On May 26, the school principal (female) called her to school as part of a conspiracy despite the school being shut. Two teachers who were present there raped my daughter and then to hide the incident threw her from the terrace of the school building. She was badly injured and died during treatment.”

Speaking to The Indian Express Saturday, Ayodhya Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Madhuvan Kumar Singh said, “The post-mortem has been completed, and the last rites of the girl are being done by the family. The report of the post-mortem examination is with the doctors. We have lodged the FIR based on the complaint. We are going through CCTV footage and call detail records. The case is being investigated on priority. We are questioning the school staff, and the people named in the FIR.”
“We got information that a girl had fallen from the terrace around 9.30 am. We were told that the school administration got her admitted to a hospital and informed her parents. During treatment, the girl died. Whatever the evidence, we will probe the case accordingly,” added Singh.
